Covid-19 Booster Vaccination Walk-In Clinics

In response to the new Accelerated Programme for the roll-out of Covid-19 booster vaccines, we will be offering the MRNA Vaccines to our patients at the surgery.

Booster clinics will be on a walk-in basis, starting with our patients over 40 years and continuing by age category. It will be necessary for our antenatal patients to contact the surgery and make a booking for the Covid-19 booster vaccination.

For the duration of the Accelerated Programme, we have been asked by the Government and HSE to prioritise vaccination and therefore ask our patients to bear with us since non-urgent care may be delayed.

Booster Clinics will commence next week at both our Market Place Surgery and Haven Bay Surgery clinics from 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 22nd December

  • Thursday 23rd December

  • Wednesday 29th December

  • Thursday 30th December

Time Intervals for Covid-19 Booster Vaccination

The interval between a second dose and the Booster Dose is 3 months except for the following:

6 month interval applies to patients who were diagnosed with a Covid-19 infection and who were fully vaccinated

1 month interval applies to patients who were diagnosed with Covid-19 infection and who were only partially vaccinated

Please note: Patients who have not previously been vaccinated with an MRna vaccine (i.e Pfizer or Moderna vaccine) will be asked to remain in the surgery for 15 minutes post vaccination.
