The HSE have advised that the next group to be vaccinated will be people aged 85 and older. The rollout of these vaccines in Ireland will start on 15th February and will continue as supplies of vaccines are available.

We are are scheduled to receive our delivery of vaccines the week commencing 22nd February and intend to run a Covid-19 vaccintion clinic for our patients aged 85 years and older on Wednesday 24th February 2021.

If you are aged 85 or older, you don’t need to register in advance. We will be contacting our patients in this age group by telephone next week to arrange an appointment time to attend the surgery on Wednesday 24th February 2021.

COVID-19 vaccination will be offered to more groups as soon as possible. Supplies of vaccines are limited at this time. Vaccines will be given as the supply arrives in Ireland. There will be no build-up of stock. The rollout of vaccines will only be limited by supply.

We have been advised by the HSE that the Covid-19 vaccines supplied for our patients over 70 years will be mRNA vaccines.
