As the year draws to a close, we would like to pay tribute to our colleague, Dr David Nagle, who is currently in the process of retiring from the partnership.  David has served the people of Kinsale well for the past 40 years.  He founded Market Place Surgery in 1979, initially based on Main Street where he worked as a single-handed general practitioner for many years.

During his career, David cared for many generations of Kinsale families and his clinical acumen and genealogical knowledge will be missed by all of us.  His retirement was marked recently by colleagues in Kinsale Community Hospital and Haven Bay Care Centre.

With David’s retirement, Dr Micheál Hynes and Dr Katie O’Connell are delighted to welcome Dr Caroline O’Dowd as our new incoming partner.  Caroline has worked with us since 2016 and she brings a wealth of GP experience to the practice.
