Dr Micheál Hynes was honoured recently to receive a Kinale and District Community Award in recognition of his ongoing work with Kinsale Youth Support Service (KYSS) and Kinsale Community Response to Dementia as well as the local Scout Group and Kinsale Lions Club.

A very pleasant evening was had at the awards ceremony in Actons Hotel where other recipients of Community Awards included Conor O’Callaghan, Pat Hegarty, Ted McNamara, Marie O’Driscoll, Sheila Coleman, Nigel Lavers, Anne McCarthy, Kinsale Lions Club and the Ballinspittle Defibrillator Group.
