Covid-19 Vaccines Rollout Update

The rollout of COVID-19 vaccines is underway. Supplies of vaccines are in production but they are limited at the moment. Vaccines are being given as soon as possible after they arrive in Ireland. The rollout of vaccines will only be limited by supply. People who are most at risk from COVID-19 are being vaccinated first.

At present we are vaccinating patients in the surgery over 70 years. We hope to have fully vaccinated this age group within the coming weeks.

If you are aged over 70 years, you don’t need to register in advance. We will be contacting our patients in this age group by telephone to arrange an appointment time to attend the surgery.

All citizens between the ages of 65 and 69 will be invited to register on the HSE portal to receive an invitation for a vaccine appointment.  It is expected that the next age cohort of 60 to 64 will then be invited to register on the portal.

Vaccine registration for 65 to 69 year olds

People aged 69 can register for their vaccine from Thursday, 15 April from 10am. The HSE is asking people to register on specific days to help manage demand on the system, and make it easier for everyone to register.

Appointments will be assigned by age, so it doesn’t matter how quickly you register. You won’t get your vaccine any sooner if you register earlier.

When to register

If you are aged:

69 - register on Thursday 15th April, or anytime after

68 - register on Friday 16th April, or anytime after

67 - register on Saturday 17th April, or anytime after

66 - register on Sunday 18th April, or anytime after

65 - register on Monday 19th April, or anytime after

To register online you need:

A mobile phone number, an email address, your PPS number, your Eircode. If you do not have these things, call the COVID-19 helpline to register by phone instead.
